Minnesota Fall Colors

Yesterday, we decided to take a little road trip to the Maplewood State Park in west-central MN. The maples were almost in prime color although another 3 to 4 days would probably have been their true prime. It was a beatiful day and we enjoyed a nice hike.

Family Time

The last weekend of September, we were happy to have Mike, Amanda, Dane & Nora and Ben and his friend Sarah with us. Here we all are with Pearl's mom & dad. Thanks for coming and hurry back soon!!
Four generations of girls

Saturday was so beautiful that we all decided to go for a nice long walk. Amanda made a sling out of some old t-shirts and Nora slept the whole time.
Mike & Dane stopped to pick some flowers for Amanda

We walked the tracks west of town. Wait, where is Dane?....

...There he is, running ahead.

When he got tired, a ride on Grampy's shoulders was alright.

Dane discovered that his friend "Mater" lives down the street from Grampy & Grammy.

Cole, Angie & Chloe stopped over for the evening.

After a fun and busy day, it was time for baths and bedtime stories. Our camper became the guest house for Mike, Amanda & the kids.

Dane loved being on the farm! Great Grampa Orville was more than happy to give him rides in the tractor, on the swather and even on the swing!
