Easter Weekend/Happy 2nd Birthday, Dane!

Mike, Amanda & Dane flew into Fargo on Thursday evening. When we came out of the airport, it was snowing and by morning we had a fresh 6" or so. We weren't so thrilled with it but Dane thought it was kind of fun!

Ralph joined in the fun. Pearl was trying to get him to pull the sled. He tried to suggest to her that if she would get off, it would pull easier.

Instead of looking for Easter eggs, we made a snow bunny!

We went to the Anderson farm Saturday and Uncle Benny joined us to celebrate Dane's 2nd birthday which is March 25th.

After the cake, it was time to open presents. Dane's happy...Another ball!
"You mean to tell me that this is all there is?"

Dane is checking out Zachary's new toy set. He loves his cousins

Dane loves the 4-wheeler at Grandpa & Grandma Anderson's farm...He would take a ride from any willing driver.

Winter Getaway

The timing was great! We were looking forward to a week with Mike, Amanda & Dane and on the day we left here (Wed. Feb. 20) we awoke to -30 F.

We had a fun day with Dane on Thursday. Mike & Amanda were both at work.

Playing with Teddy

Thursday evening, grampy got to go to swimming lessons with Dane. We had a great time!

On Thursday evening, Steve's brother Al and wife Pam flew into LV. We had a fun time and managed to keep busy all the while they were there. On Friday, we started the day by going out to Hoover Dam before having lunch in Boulder City. In the afternoon, we enjoyed seeing the Titanic exibit at the Tropicana before meeting Mike & Amanda at the Venetian in the evening to see the "Phantom of the Opera". Mike, how can we ever pay you back for arranging all this? Thanks a bunch!!! After the show, we enjoyed the light show and atrium at the Belagio.
At the Venetian.

On Saturday, we all took a little trip over to Tecopa, CA to the China Ranch date farm. On the way, we stopped to take in the beautiful Red Rock area.

We had been to the date ranch before in November and enjoyed picking ripe dates but this time there weren't dates on the trees. We still enjoyed their delicious date shakes, though. As soon as we arrived, Dane went right to work with the tractor and the delivery truck!

Pointing to some dates still hanging in the tree.

After we left the date farm, we went through Baker, CA and Primm, NV on the way home. At Primm, Dane & Mike rode the log flume and Mike, Al & Steve took a spin on the roller coaster. Then, we stopped at the "District" and enjoyed dinner at Lucile's before saying goodbye to Al & Pam. The time sure went fast!

We thought we'd get a picture since we were all dressed up on Sunday.

Grammy & Grampy got Dane a sandbox for his 2nd birthdy which is coming up shortly. I'm sure Mike & Amanda thank us every day as they empty the sand out of his shoes & clothes. You're welcome : )

Dane loves to read about Tomas the Turtle. He points to and identifies letters for Grammy.

Meeting Sarah

On Feb. 16, we took a little roadtrip to the Twin Cities as Ben's friend Sarah was there and we hadn't gotten to meet her yet. Thank you guys for sharing your time with us! We surely enjoyed meeting you, Sarah!

When we arrived at Ben's house, he and Sarah invited us to go with them to see Minihaha Falls. We had never been there before. It was fun to see.

We enjoyed a special evening at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater where we saw the musical "Respect". They did a great job!
Benny the Gentleman...he even carried Sarah's purse for her.

Dad's 82nd Birthday/Anniversary Celebration.

Saturday, Feb.9, we were back to WI to celebrate Steve's Dad's 82'nd birthday and He and Myrtle's wedding anniversary which were actually both on Jan. 29. Thank's, Randy & Alan for putting this together and a special thanks to Randy & Beaner for hosting it in their wonderful auction facility!

Front room of Randy & Beaner's auction building...It's quite nice!

If I were to guess, I think they were discussing grandbabies.
