Wintery Weekend

Steve got to spend Sunday afternoon cleaning out the driveway. This is the most snow we've had this year. It was a good weekend to stay home and enjoy a cozy fire.

Ralph is always more than willing to help, but his idea of help isn't always appreciated so he has to stay in the kennel. We had already taken him for a two mile walk and he had lots of fun playing and rolling in the snow.

Why stress over a little snow? Forrest thinks it's a "purrfect" day for a catnap!

Presidents Day Weekend

On Friday evening, we enjoyed a Sweetheart's supper out with these other "young couples". We had a wonderful meal and were entertained by couples games, a little music and a lot of laughter! Believe it or not, we got home at 2:30 on Saturday morning!

On Saturday we went to Winona, MN to see Steve's brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Pam. It was so fun to see them again! We also got to see Ben and have lunch with him Saturday and again on Monday when we were on the way home. (I guess the camera was too shy to get out of the car so we didn't get any pictures of him but we can tell you he's as good looking as ever!)

Al and Pam have a beautiful home inside and out. We could easily picture this as a
"bed and breakfast" only this was even better!

On Sunday evening we had supper at Jerry and Sabrina's. Their family is growing up fast! (Sabrina is Al and Pam's daughter.)

The Canyons Ski Resort Getaway

The Colorado Rockies as seen from 30,000 feet. We could hardly wait to get to Park City, UT to meet Mike, Amanda and Dane as well as Mike's brother and sister and their families. Of course, there was somewhat of an attraction to the ski resort, too.

Arriving in Salt Lake City.

We stayed in the Red Pine Condos at The Canyons Resort. The weather was great but the snow conditions could have been better. At any rate, we had a great time!

When we got into the condo, Dane didn't waste any time exploring his new home.

Dane just loves the phone. This one is no longer in use so Mike and Amanda let him have it but he would much rather have Mike's phone. Mike would turn his off and give it to Dane but he would find the power button and turn it on in no time.

Dane was also quite busy with the remote...He would push the buttons and watch to see if the channel changed.

The "Peak 5" lift

At the top of the Peak 5 lift, we had a great but distant view of The Canyon's Resort.

The Canyons ski resort area as seen from the gondola.

The pool area as viewed from the balcony of Hugh and Melodee's condo.

These little girls in the pool just loved Dane...Almost as much as Grammy and Mommy do.

Dane was awake more than usual in the night so Amanda thought maybe he was a little cool. The last night he went to bed with his Curious George hat and mittens.
