Back by Popular Demand!

Kingbenny and his traveling band returned to Fargo Friday evening to perform at the Red Raven Coffee House. It was a rather warm setting but everyone, including the band, enjoyed the "cool" music. We got to meet Suzi, who has been helping them out with vocals a bit. It was a fun evening with a pleasant crowd.

They got a little help on the tamborine from Anna, who came all the way from Winnipeg, MB!

Turkey Anyone?

We were having lunch out on our patio when we noticed these visitors. They actually came into our yard but then wandered into the neighbor's before we could get the camera and sneek up on them. A couple of hours later, they came back through again. We wonder if they do this frequently...

Another visit to Las Vegas

Some people visit Las Vegas to seek their fortunes but we found our little "Gold Nugget" at the Anderson home in Henderson.

Dane is growing so fast!! He is now 3-1/2 months old...He listens intently as Grammy teaches him all the important things about Grandpas...

Teddy and Dane are buddies...Dane doesn't seem to mind his slobbery kisses!!

Mike and Amanda's friends, Ted and Kathy Johnston, were wonderful tour guides, as they took us in their boat up the Colorado River to the Hoover Dam.

We saw some beautiful sights below Hoover Dam on the Colorado River. This area is known as the Black Canyon.

We got a view of Hoover Dam not often seen...They were releasing more water than usual below the dam so we could boat right up to the barriers.

We got to spend some time with Eileen, Calvin, Danella and Alex Myers before they continued on to California.

Grampy holding Dane on our last day there...We haven't quite gotten him spoiled yet!

Matt and Misti's wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Strege (aka Matt and Misti.) Yesterday, we took a 2 hour road trip to Milbank, SD for a wedding.

Jeff and Corrine McCulloch and Marv Hopewell. (Corrine is Misti's Mom/Pearl's cousin and Marv is Corrine's Dad.)

Misti and her brother Josh...

Janet, Mark, Elizabeth, Amber and Zachery Hopewell. (Mark is Misti's uncle and Pearl's cousin.)

Surprise 80th birthday party for Pearl's Dad, Orville

On June 25, we had a surprise 80th birthday party for Pearl's Dad. He was truly surprised and it was nice that all four of their daughters were able to be there. (His birthday is actually on July 1.)

The clan that was able to help celebrate...

Benny and the Vulcan

On the weekend of June 17-18, we went to the Twin Cities. We just caught the end of Ben, Bruce and Chad playing at a Dunn-Bros Coffee House in downtown Minneapolis on Friday evening. We had hoped to get there sooner but got caught in some very heavy rain. We ended up getting detoured because of flash flooding and came walking in looking like drowned rats!! I'm sure Ben was proud of us : ) Ben spent quite a few hours that weekend taking a motorcycle safety class and testing for his license. Of course, Mom & Dad were glad for that! It's a pretty nice bike he's got...

An outside view of Milnor

Hee-Haw!! We often like to walk outside of town around Storm lake and then come back across the railroad tracks. It's about a 3 mile walk and we pass 3 little hobby farms along the way. This guy wasn't the least bit worried about an imposing camera...

These beautiful horses and their colts are curious about Ralph and us as we walk by...

Railroad tracks across Storm Lake lead home...
